Wedding Day Speeches

The prospect of delivering a wedding day speech can be daunting and stressful.

Writing it can be just as bad – but it does not have to be this way.

Even if you’ve never had a problem cracking a few jokes at a party or delivering a powerpoint presentation for work, the idea of giving ‘wedding speech’ can be terrifying.

But don’t worry. It is not that complicated. I am here to assist.

I can help write you to write or prepare a short, personalised wedding day speech – for the bride, groom, bestman/bestwoman, parent/guardian… etc.

Writing a good wedding day speech is all about editing. But to do this, you must first have something to edit. As James Thurber said: don’t get it right, get it written.

What this means is getting as many of your thoughts down on paper (or, on screen) as early as you can. Don’t stress about how to phrase them. They don’t have to be in order or connect to each other.

Get some text down on paper (or preferably in MS Word) is the crucial first step. Once you have done that, then I can then assist you in turning these ideas and thoughts into a memorable and successful wedding day speech.

Remember the wise words of Ralph Waldo Emerson:

“All the great speakers were bad speakers at first.”
